Meet the Firms (MTF) is the once a year premier event for accounting students at W. P. Carey. Whether you are looking for a job or an internship, this is an event you do not want to miss!
Attendees of the event include public accounting firms, companies throughout private industries, and government agencies. The event’s purpose is for employers to meet candidates pursuing professional careers in accounting- the next group of top talent to fulfill their firms’ needs. Students who miss this event find themselves at a great disadvantage when they go through on-campus recruiting–don’t let yourself slip into that position!
While the event is extremely important to attend during your junior, senior, and graduate years in school, it is highly encouraged that you attend as a freshman and sophomore as well so that you may build relationships early and reinforce them often–increasing your chances of being remembered and well networked when you are ready for internships and subsequent career positions. If this is your first year at W. P. Carey, it’s particularly important to show well to make up for lost time.
