By the end of this internship, you should have a number of these skills/understanding:
•Ability to develop an automated test from cradle to grave. Includes everything from developing the front-end script to extracting data into PowerBI report
•Experience working with various server configurations to get optimal performance and an understanding of how each parameter impacts the performance
•Experience working with and an understanding of the importance of automation and data pipelines
•Thorough understanding of the AMD architecture
A graduate student, or undergraduate at least in 3rd year of computer science, computer engineering studies, or electrical engineering; passionate about Linux, Windows, operating systems, and computer systems.
You will be helping us understand the performance of various server workloads across various server configurations (16 core, 32 core, 64 cores etc). This is primarily done using our relatively new automation system. There will be opportunities to develop new tests, execute and analyze performance results, optimize systems, and provide feedback to architects on system optimization. We use OpenStack, Ansible, Kafka, Hive and PowerBI in our data pipeline.
•Studies and coursework in operating systems fundamentals, processor architecture.
•Familiarity with the Linux environment
•Experience in a scripting language such as Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
•Experience setting up servers, changing hardware and installing server software
•Bonus: Strong interest in computer architecture
