We are currently seeking an energetic Data Center Project Engineer Intern to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. You will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data facilities. The team is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other team and organizations. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams. The scope of projects will include but not limited to the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection and building automation system.
This position will be hands on in one of our data centers in Virginia, Oregon, or Ohio. Daily onsite hours could begin as early as 6am. This position will require the ability to communicate with a variety of vendors, people, and teams with a high level of customer service.

· Pursuing Bsc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field
· Graduating between Fall 2021 and Summer 2022
· Experience with SQL, mySQL or similar database languages
· Self-starter who shows good judgment and instincts in decision-making
· Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Quantitative analytical abilities and problem solving skills
· Proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about data center relevant technologies.
