DESCRIPTION

Are you excited to solve problems at the cutting edge of cloud computing? Do you want to build and own services providing some of the key features at the core of Amazon’s Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) infrastructure? Do you want to work hard, have fun, and make history? If so come work for us in EC2 Networking!

EC2 Networking is crucial for Amazon’s long-term success as a technology services company. It is the future of Amazon, and we are rapidly expanding our team to meet our fast growing needs. The EC2 Networking team is looking for talented software engineers to help us build new innovative features driving the future of cloud computing, and the tools to help us operate in this space.

We are growing fast, and are looking for C programmers who can deliver ultra-high performance code – our goal is to be processing many millions of packets per second on embedded CPU cores. This requires both being able to implement highly optimized data structures, but also low level tuning to our hardware. If you have good experience in C/C++, and a passion for systems software engineering such as kernel or embedded development, then this is a unique opportunity to join us in building the platform which is the basis for all new EC2 VPC features in the years to come.

Your responsibilities will include:

– Innovating and delivering creative SW Designs to develop new services, solve operational problems, drive improvements in developer velocity, or positively impact operational safety

– Writing requirements capturing documents, design documents, integration test plans, and deployment plans

– Communicating status and progress of deliverables to schedule

– Sharing learnings and innovations with your team and stakeholders
