DESCRIPTION
Are you excited to solve problems at the cutting edge of cloud computing? Do you want to build and own services providing some of the key features at the core of Amazon’s Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) infrastructure? Do you want to work hard, have fun, and make history? If so come work for us in EC2 Networking!
EC2 Networking is crucial for Amazon’s long-term success as a technology services company. It is the future of Amazon, and we are rapidly expanding our team to meet our fast growing needs. The EC2 Networking team is looking for talented software engineers to help us build new innovative features driving the future of cloud computing, and the tools to help us operate in this space.
Our team is responsible for the command and control of the routers that support the dataplane at the edge of the EC2 Network. We provide the tools and automation to an organization of 50+ engineers to help them operate at scale a fleet of SW defined routers that handle every packet the enters or exits EC2. We need Python and GoLang programmers to connect systems together, build new systems and enhance our automation. We support multiple internal services to manage hands-free landing and ingestion of new hardware, building out new regions, taking poorly behaving hardware out of service. We provide the mechanisms that allow our dataplane engineers to interact with our routers through command lines, APIs, dashboards and websites. We are looking for engineers with a passion for building SW who want exposure to networking, devops, data center operations, and Amazon scale.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Innovating and delivering creative SW Designs to develop new services, solve operational problems, drive improvements in developer velocity, or positively impact operational safety
– Writing requirements capturing documents, design documents, integration test plans, and deployment plans
– Communicating status and progress of deliverables to schedule
– Sharing learnings and innovations with your team and stakeholders
