Intern assignments will vary depending upon business needs, but will generally include projects in the areas of:
- Spend analysis
- Project management
- Corporate and category support
- RFI activities
- Supplier management activities
- Risk Mitigation
At the close of the internship experience, interns will present their overall accomplishments to the Global Purchasing Leadership Team. If there is mutual interest, interns will be considered for BD’s Procurement Development Program. The Procurement Development Program is a three-year rotational program designed to provide an entry-level associate to further develop a solid portfolio of strategic sourcing skills and a foundation for growing a successful career in procurement.
- BS student pursuing a degree in Procurement/Purchasing or Business Logistics/Supply Chain or related area
- Projected graduation date of Fall 2021 or Spring 2022, following the term of employment
- Skills and abilities in leadership, teamwork, quantitative analysis, negotiation, Microsoft Office Suite, and a drive for results
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration.
