What this business area supports: Internal Audit is responsible for providing independent and objective audit and special project activity, adding value, and improving CVS Health’s systems of internal control. The Internal Audit Department helps the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management, control, and governance processes in alignment with the strategies, objectives, and risks of the organization. The Internal Audit Department serves the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and assists management in achieving Enterprise goals by conducting independent and objective assurance and consulting activities within the organization-ranging from our retail and long-term care pharmacies to the health care business, Aetna, and the pharmacy benefit manager, Caremark. What you will do:Highlights of this internship include a structured program plan, hands-on project work, access to mentorship and networking opportunities, and learning and development sessions. During the 10-week engagement interns will be in a supportive learning environment contributing both independently and on a team to execute key department initiatives as part of the Annual Audit Plan approved by the Audit Committee You will gain exposure to various business processes and partners throughout the organization, learning how CVS operates both broadly and in detail, by working on an audit with a team of experienced auditors that will span the duration of the internship.
