Senior Associate
Overview
We are hiring a senior associate to join our collaborative team of experts. This position requires financial statement and operational analysis, customer and product profitability assessment, cash flow analysis and projections, and data analysis and compilation to support project teams. The role involves both independent work and teamwork with MCA team members, clients, stakeholders and industry professionals. Some travel is required.
Position
- Full-time financial analyst position at a national boutique consulting firm, specializing in turnaround and restructuring, business valuation, capital formation and refinancing, litigation support & expert testimony, M&A, and real estate receivership services
- Financial statement and operational analysis, including customer and product profitability assessment, cash flow analysis and projections, and data analysis and compilation to support project teams
- Independent work and collaborative work with MCA team members, client management, and other stakeholders and industry professionals in a vast range of industries
- Travel required
Work
- Perform due diligence, research, and analysis of transactions
- Develop financial models for valuations, damage analysis, and forecasting
- Create detailed forecasts and cash flow models in Excel
- Support M&A negotiations of sale & purchase agreements
- Prepare presentation material and present findings and conclusions
- Develop and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients to expand the practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2-4 years of accounting or industry (operational and financial restructuring experience) experience at a major accounting or restructuring firm
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
- Advanced financial modeling, research, and financial analysis skills, including quantitative and analytical competence
- Precision, follow-through, a drive to exceed expectations, and strong organizational skills
- Superior interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
- A drive to create solutions to complex problems and yield positive change
