JOB SCOPE
Responsible for assisting in the effort to identify network impairments and drive them to resolution in order to provide Charter customers with the best possible customer experience. Work closely with teams within the Network Operations NOC and related engineering teams to support the effort to minimize the frequency and scope of impact during network impairments.
The program is 10 weeks in length and will run from June through August 2021
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience and improve operational availability and reliability.
- Works on assignments that will span one or more of the following areas:
- Network Surveillance
- Event Management
- Operations Management
- Operational Readiness
- Automation
- Correlation
- Reduction of customer calls
- Reduction of unnecessary technician dispatches
- Assists in the effort to monitor the Charter network and reduce customer impacting network impairments
- Assists with the coordination of network changes, deployments, and projects
- Uses established processes to execute daily responsibilities
- Identifies areas of opportunity to increase the effectiveness of tools and processes
- Shadows members of all NOC functions and where possible other local groups to gain a broader understanding of the Charter network and the products offered
- Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and / or related field from an accredited University; Masters’ degree is preferred.
- Rising Junior (current Sophomore) or above Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required
