Asian Business Leaders Association was originally founded in 1994 by a small group of dedicated business students and still continues to meet today following many successful years. We serve the needs of career-oriented students through academic support, leadership opportunities, and social environments where members can interact with the campus and community leaders.

The main emphasis of the organization is to educate members about various Asian cultures in the business setting. We accomplish these goals by holding weekly meetings where we discuss anything from cultural barriers to resume workshops as well as guest speakers from both alumni and from companies.

In such meetings, we discuss various challenges one might face such as the cultural differences between corporate life and the culture members may have been raised in. We also have meetings with invited professionals and alumni to come and speak, letting members engage with professionals first hand in order to gain knowledge and connections, furthering their professional development. In addition to this, we hold social events throughout the school year to foster friendships and community within the organization.

We strive to improve our members’ cultural awareness between the business world and themselves while giving them a social space to connect and find a sense of community.
