Identify the channel
Discuss strategies to customize your engagement and target specific student audiences that align with your recruiting objectives such as corporate information sessions, coffee chats, office hours, or panels. Engaging with students through different channels that match your organization’s needs provides the opportunity for you to showcase your organization, discuss the roles you are recruiting for, and to network with students.
Consider format and structure
If you are planning an event, please be sure to connect with our team to help you determine a date and time that doesn’t conflict with other activities (including the academic schedule) and optimizes your access to students.
When hosting a formalized company-specific event, on campus, virtually, or off campus in partnership with W. P. Carey Career Services Center, our team will work closely with you to help define your objectives and make specific recommendations tailored to your organization, ensuring you are participating in recruiting activities that make the most of your resources.
When hosting your own virtual or off-campus event, whether exclusive for business students at ASU or across multiple universities, format and timing is an important consideration to be competitive. Given these events are not managed directly by our team, coordination of venue reservations, audio-visual needs, and catering are the responsibility of your organization.
Set your organization up for success
If it is determined that the event or location is not aligned with the employers’ recruiting interests and/or the academic demographics of the students at that location, then alternative options will be recommended. The W. P. Carey School reserves the right to deny registration for any request to host an on-campus activity by an employer.
