About Us

Albert (Al) Knoblach is a program manager on the Employer Engagement team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, focusing on business development. With several years of higher education experience, Al has served as a career counselor at The Pennsylvania State University and the University of Nebraska – Lincoln College of Business. Outside of higher education, Al has over 2 decades of experience working in the pyrotechnics industry shooting and manufacturing professional display fireworks. Al completed two degrees at The Pennsylvania State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2017 followed by a Master of Education in counselor education in 2020.

Alison Moser is a curriculum coordinator who works on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, specifically partnering with undergraduate students. Alison believes in the importance of designing curriculum that will further students’ prior knowledge regarding career development, as well as foster students’ understanding of the importance of a solid foundational skill set in career instruction. Alison has over 21 years of experience working in the education field, including preparing and implementing specially designed instruction for students of various learning abilities and backgrounds. Alison Moser holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary and special education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Alyssa Pereira is the Marketing and Communication Manager for the W. P. Carey Career Services Center, where she oversees the areas of communication strategy, marketing campaigns, communications materials, asset development, and marketing analytics for the department. Over the last few years, Alyssa has directly coached students in career and leadership development, in addition to developing communication assets and leveraging her background in visual design. Her professional background includes work in sports broadcast media, content strategy and development, social media management, freelance photography, and has previously founded a podcast and blog. Alyssa holds a B.S. in Strategic Communication and International Studies from North Dakota State University and a M.Ed. in Student Development Administration from Seattle University.

April Patten is the Content Consultant for the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business.

After eight years as a coach and manager within the team, April leverages her content expertise to extend our Where Business is Personal® mission to reach over 20,000 business students on an annual basis via online and on-demand content as well as comprehensive project management. As content consultant, April’s role is pivotal to ensure students across all W. P. Carey programs have access to curated content that meets their specific needs and interests.

In addition to her 20 years of comprehensive experience in career management, April is a Certified Career Management Coach, University Career Coach, MBA Career Coach, Certified Professional Resume Writer, Certified Civil Treatment Facilitator, and is Dare to Lead trained.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in management and international studies from CMU, an Master of Education in human relations from NAU, and a Certificate of Global Advocacy from ASU.

Brianna (Bri) Miloz-Pabst is the Associate Director of Curriculum Design on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business. Bri knows the importance of bringing individuals together around the shared vision of revolutionizing career education. She leverages her unique perspective to drive a strategy for curriculum that delivers student engagement, retention, and employer satisfaction with a competitive design approach. With several years of experience in higher education, Bri has worked in residence life, TRIO programs, diversity and inclusion, student athlete success, student support services (first generation college students) and national scholarship advisement. She began her educational journey at Northern Arizona University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in business marketing and a Bachelor of Science in business management in 2017, followed by a Master of Arts in higher education and student affairs from the University of Connecticut in 2019.

Christine De La Cerda is an assistant director in on the career management team in the W. P. Carey School of Business. She is a career coach for the Full-time MBA Marketing, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Information Management students. Christine knows the value of finding a career path that brings passion and excitement and continually helps an individual grow. This value drives her passion for connecting students with their perfect landing spot where they will thrive. She desires to see that lightbulb moment when every click for the person she works with that career search.

Christine has worked at Arizona State University for over nine years in a few different roles, but none more fulfilling as the career space and supporting the Full-time MBA students. She is an ASU alumna working toward her Master of Arts in communication.

Christine received a fantastic honor in 2022 when she received a Graduate College Award of Excellence: Supporting Student Success. She desires always to help students feel welcome and at home while pursuing their dreams. She is trained as an Emerging Supervisor, Dares to Lead and Career Launch, and has a Training Certificate from the Association for Talent Development.

Claudia Enriquez is an assistant director on the career management team, specifically partnering with W. P. Carey School of Business alumni. She has twelve years of experience in higher education, working with domestic and international students and alumni in English and Spanish. She is committed to partnering with alumni on their career management journeys by developing strategies, required skills, experiences, and tools to pursue their professional objectives. Claudia has vast global acumen, having worked in management in four different countries . She is recently focused on creating and executing the strategy of delivering a career management program to this population. Claudia holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from ITAM in Mexico and an MBA from the University of Arizona.

Dakota Haight is a sr. operations coordinator on the operations team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, working with all industry portfolios. Dakota supports the employer and student facing teams in navigating the university landscape, planning engagement opportunities, and executing on-campus and virtual recruiting activities. Prior to joining W.P. Carey, Dakota worked in finance and academics in higher education. Dakota holds a Bachelor of Science in sport management from Grand Canyon University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports law and business from the Sandra Day O’ Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.

Erika Teran is a career coach on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, working directly with graduate students in the Master of Business Analytics, Master of Information Systems Management, and Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence in Business programs. Additionally, she works with undergraduate Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems students, as well as with those on an undecided/exploratory business track. Erika is passionate in developing interpersonal relationships and embracing a holistic approach to create an integrated learning environment that is inclusive of each unique students needs and interests. She strives to support students in understanding the importance of their personal narrative, values, and identity and how that translates into their professional toolkit.

With several years of higher education experience, she has served students in undergraduate admissions, community engagement, career services, academic advising, and financial aid. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Erika worked for Baruch College leading a career leadership program aimed in providing early career prep to sophomore level, Black and Latino/a/e/x identifying students. Erika Teran is a double alumna of Montclair State University holding a Master of Arts in counseling with a focus in student affairs/higher education, Bachelor of Arts in family science and human development with a minor in psychology and certificate in child advocacy and policy.

Hannah Nelson is a career coach on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business. She believes that powerful results come from consistency in everyday actions. Each individual has an impact on the people and systems around them – the key is being intentional about how we shape that impact! At W. P. Carey, Hannah enjoys helping students get intentional about their career journeys, from forming a strategy to landing their first full-time position. She works with undergrad and graduate students pursuing degrees in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and AI in Business. She also works with undecided/exploratory students on the business track.

Hannah has worked in education and training for 5+ years. In addition to her experience in higher education, she is highly qualified to teach social studies and language arts to students in grades 6-12. Hannah holds a Master in Teaching  from Washington State University. Previous to her work in education, Hannah spent a year supporting human rights and transitional justice efforts in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Jack Balon is a results-driven professional with a passion for forging meaningful connections between organizations and talented job seekers.

Currently, Jack is an assistant director on the employer engagement at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. In this role, Jack manages a diverse portfolio of 250+ companies spanning various industries. His responsibilities include facilitating strategic relationships, helping organizations refine their hiring strategies, and leveraging data analysis to identify emerging industry trends. Jack prides himself on exceptional stakeholder management skills, which have led to increased collaboration and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Before his academic tenure, Jack honed his skills at Yelp Inc. as a Franchise Account Executive, consistently exceeding sales quotas, analyzing key data, and strengthening corporate relationships. Jack’s results-oriented approach led to an increase in customer acquisition and lifetime value during his tenure at Yelp Inc.

Jack holds a Master of Public Administration degree with an emphasis in government and policy and a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in professional writing, both earned with honors distinctions from Grand Canyon University. Jack’s diverse professional background, commitment to excellence, and passion for building strategic relationships have been key drivers of his success.

Jenni Hailer is a curriculum coordinator on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, designated to work with the MBA and specialized master’s population. Jenni is passionate about making a difference in student’s lives. She is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in education, entrepreneurship, event planning, and administration. Jenni’s educational background includes a Master of Education with an emphasis in counseling from Northern Arizona University. She also holds a Post-Baccalaureate Initial Teacher Certification in secondary education and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Arizona State University.

Jes Douangchanh is a program manager on the operations team at W. P. Carey School of Business, working with all industry portfolios. Jes supports the employer and student facing teams in navigating the university landscape, planning engagement opportunities, and executing on-campus and virtual recruiting activities.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Wilkes University Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, she acquired a multitude of experience in higher and post-secondary education. Throughout her academic and professional experiences Jes has played key roles in campus, community, and cultural events. She believes in serving her community through creativity, innovation and connection.

Joey Kimes is the Executive Director for the W. P. Carey Career Services Center, overseeing the career management, employer engagement, and operations teams while providing strategic direction to all career initiatives.  Joey knows the importance of ensuring market-alignment of all career programming—both student- and employer-oriented—so high-quality connections can be made between employers and candidates.  He believes that students identifying directed career goals and cultivating an action-oriented process to meet those goals, with a focus on proactive actions that drive toward career-focused results for students, allow for them to go-to market competitive and highlight the relevancy of their experiences with the skills firms are seeking.  While at W. P. Carey, Joey has worked on standardizing a 12-month onboarding journey for new career coaches, developing and launching data and outcome-focused annual reporting, and designing a program to cultivate MBA-level, career-ready business professionals; he has, also, supported the initial development of the Career Blueprint and Career Management Model. Joey is a Gallup Certified Strengths coach and holds an MBA from the Heider College of Business at Creighton University, a Master of Science in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University, and Bachelor of Arts in journalism and psychology from Marquette University.

Kama Chavis is a career coach on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, working directly with students in the Master of Finance program and undergraduate Finance, Economics, Financial Planning, Human Resources, Applied Technology, and Agribusiness degree programs. Kama has a passion for helping others identify their talents with a goal to support them on their journey towards their potential.

She has experience in human resources in supply chain/logistics, staffing and health care industries as well as professional experience in higher education, non-profit (arts), performing arts (arts education), and the music industry.

Kama holds a Masters of Arts in administration and supervision (educator/trainer) and a Bachelors of Arts in speech communication from Montclair State University. She also has completed course work towards a Masters in music business from New York University.

Katie Malles is a career coach on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, working specifically with undergraduate business students in the Marketing, Business Communications, Sports Business, and Entrepreneurship degree programs, as well as, the Master of Real Estate Development and Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation graduate programs. Katie’s passion for working with students sparked from her time serving as a resident assistant while in her undergrad. She is committed to working with students on their professional and workforce development, helping them to find their voice and build their personal brand/narrative. Prior to joining W.P. Carey, Katie worked for the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at ASU where she was recognized for her work with graduate students by earning the Graduate College’s first ever Award for Excellence: Outstanding New Staff Member. Katie is a Sun Devil through and through, having earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication and master’s degree in higher and postsecondary education from ASU, as well as, a Barrett, the Honors College alumnus.

Leah Mills is an Employer Engagement Consultant in the W. P. Carey School of Business Career Services Center. She supports employers who are new to working with the W. P. Carey School of Business and the management consulting industry in developing recruitment and engagement strategies to connect with top business school talent.  Leah believes that delivering exceptional client experiences by creating seamless ways to access talent, navigate the university recruiting ecosystem, and execute high-value engagements are the keys to fostering sustainable and successful partnerships.  Within the Career Services Center, she has supported on-campus recruiting execution, technology system implementation and management, and the enhancement of recruiting partnerships during her tenure.  Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Leah worked in intercollegiate athletics and holds a B.S. in Sport Management and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and a M. Ed. in Sport Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Lurissa Brown is a Career Coach on the Career Management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, working directly with students in the Master of Science in Accountancy and Taxation programs and Undergraduate Accountancy. Prior to working at W. P. Carey, Lurissa was a Designated School Official (DSO) at ASU’s International Students and Scholars Center, advising international students for over five years on maintaining compliance with immigration regulations. Currently, she leverages her experience advising students on optimizing their global business skills to guide them through their career journey.  Lurissa was born in Panama City, Panama, and always looks for new opportunities to make a positive impact on all students.  She enhances the student experience through a balance of career coaching and networking strategies, which strengthens their competitiveness in the job market and promotes the W. P. Carey brand. Lurissa holds a B.S. in Spanish with a Certificate in Translation and an M.A. in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Margaret Odhner is an associate director on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, specifically leading the MBA student-facing team. Margaret has experience partnering with students at all educational levels, but most specifically has expertise working with those re-engaging in their career management process as they develop their new job-search strategy, conduct market research, and prepare for their next roles. Margaret believes that the work she does to prepare students in their career decision making impacts the actions they take for the next steps in their professional career. Margaret is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Associate Counselor and in addition to working at W. P. Carey for the past 5.5 years, has experience in the Healthcare industry focused on client relationships and managing documentation compliance for state funded programs. Margaret received her Bachelor of Science in psychology and family and human development from the University of Arizona and Masters of Counseling from Arizona State University.

Mitch Tybroski is the Associate Director of the Operations in the W. P. Carey Career Services Center. In his role, Mitch oversees the daily and functional operations within the center. He is also tasked with developing consistent process and strategy for the larger team that will ultimately support the success of all W. P. Carey students. His professional experience includes work within collegiate athletic operations, non-profit management, and most recently six plus years within Educational Outreach and Student Services at ASU. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science in sports and exercise science from West Texas A&M, a Master of Science in sport management from West Texas A&M, and a Doctorate of Education in leadership and innovation from Arizona State University.

Natalie Dillon is the Director of Employer Engagement at the W. P. Carey Career Services Center. Her role is to lead a team of client managers who directly support employers, while also providing strategic direction for employer and corporate initiatives across W. P. Carey. Natalie believes in helping organizations build a high-potential recruitment strategy with foundational elements in building a strong brand awareness, think creatively about recruitment practices, and designing engagement opportunities that encourage connection between employers and students. Within the W. P. Carey Career Services Center, she has develop key recruitment strategies with employer partners, leveraged data and reporting to showcase the impact of the high-potential recruitment model, and developed the design for client management practice on the team. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Natalie has partnered with several Fortune 500 companies to create successful pipelines with university talent. Natalie holds of Bachelor of Science in management communications from North Dakota State University and a post-baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in leadership from University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management.

Octavio Duarte is an assistant director on the employer engagement team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, focusing on corporate alumni engagement. He joined the career management team as a career coach in 2022, partnering with full-time MBA students along with Professional MBA students in the Evening, Online, and Executive programs. Octavio believes colleges and universities are responsible for stewarding knowledge and mentoring future generations. He is committed to planning, communicating, and executing a strategic direction to help strengthen our alumni career engagement. Octavio’s professional experience spans across multiple industry’s in various roles. He has over 15 years of leadership, talent acquisition, and higher education experience. Octavio received his Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Arizona and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Olivia Del Viscio is a sr. associate director on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business where she leads the Bachelor of Science & Specialized Master’s team. She joined Career Management in 2021 as a career coach, partnering with undergraduate Business Sustainability and Human Resources student populations. Olivia is a positive, service-oriented leader who strives to support all students, including those hailing from underrepresented backgrounds and/or identities. She believes that creating a collaborative coaching environment will ultimately help students to reach their career goals. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Olivia worked in education abroad with a focus in program development and admissions. Driven by her professional and personal dedication in building inclusive spaces in higher education, Olivia served in a variety of volunteer roles for organizations such as The Forum for Education Abroad and the National Association for Study Abroad, and currently sits on the W. P. Carey DEI Council. Additionally, she is certified in both Customer Success Management and Education Abroad Advising. Olivia holds her Bachelor of Arts in English from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Master of Education in higher and postsecondary education from Arizona State University.

Rachel Dieter is an assistant director on the employer engagement team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, working with employers across the technology and defense industries. Rachel knows how important it is for organizations to not only have a strong talent pipeline, but have opportunities to connect with that pipeline throughout the recruiting process.  She is energized by working with organizations to identify strategies for success in their approach to recruiting. Rachel has experience in many functions of career services, including career coaching and programming, event planning and management, career outcome collection, and building and maintaining relationships with employers in order to meet their hiring goals. She is certified in the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Inventory. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, religion, and educational studies from St. Olaf College and a Master of Science in college student personnel from Western Illinois University.

Renae Smith is the Business Operations Specialist on the operations team at the W. P. Carey School of Business Career Services Center. Renae has provided support in a variety of business models and has a passion for streamlining process and optimizing workflow. Throughout her career, she has played key supportive roles in aiding teams to thrive and achieve excellence. Renae holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration for the University of Phoenix and believes the success of a team is greater than the achievements of the individual members.

Samuel Edgeston is an assistant director on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, specifically partnering with full-time MBA students. Samuel has over 17 years of experience in career development and business leadership, organizational development, and academia.  He has held various leadership roles in Arizona and Tennessee universities.  Samuel has also provided services as a Licensed Professional Coach-Counselor, Board Certified Business Coach, and a professional business mediator. In addition to teaching, he has served as an executive, corporate, leadership, and business coach and consultant in Arizona.  As a professional, Samuel is an adamant supporter for proactive development studies, focusing on business, management, leadership, consulting and organizational technology efficacy.  Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University, a master’s degree in professional counseling and a Doctorate of Business Administration degree from Georgia School of Psychology and Argosy University

Sarah Romero is a curriculum coordinator on the career management team at the W. P. Carey School of Business with a specific focus to assist with the design and administration of the Career Navigation Program for all undergraduate students. Sarah has close to 6 years’ experience working within the Higher Education sector to include the implementation and execution of Grants + Contracts to facilitate research, as well as, the transfer initiative of MyPath2ASU™. Sarah most recently transitioned to our team after two years of advising W.P. Carey students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Tourism, and Communication. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Florida State University and is a proud Sun Devil alumna with a Master of Education in higher and postsecondary education from Arizona State University!

Sean Spain is a Program Manager on the Employer Engagement team at the W. P. Carey School of Business, specifically partnering with transportation and logistics employers and focusing on business development with employers from the West Valley. Leveraging his experience coaching at the undergraduate and MBA level at ASU, Sean brings a well-rounded approach to his portfolio. Sean has experience in career services at the secondary and higher education levels with additional experience in leadership with Verizon Wireless and as a licensed realtor. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Rockford University and an MBA from Strayer University.

Sebastian Solis Felix is a career coach on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, working directly with the Marketing, Business Communications, and Entrepreneurship, undergraduate student populations, as well as the Master of Real Estate Development and Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation graduate programs. Sebastian is passionate about making everyone feel welcomed and creating one-on-one connections with every individual he works with. Sebastian believes that there is importance in connecting students with innovative resources.

In his previous professional role, Sebastian exhibited a profound commitment to student development and campus enrichment. He led an initiative to grow ASU West Valley student organizations, facilitated a leadership seminar, contributed to university initiatives, and more. Sebastian holds a BS and MS degree in forensic psychology from Arizona State University.

Suzanne Sanchez is a sr. assistant director on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, specifically partnering with full-time MBA students studying Supply Chain. Suzanne believes in supporting her students by coaching them to develop key skills and confidence so it turns into actionable success. Suzanne enjoys staying current with industry trends by strategically subscribing to newsletters, podcasts and listening to e-books. Suzanne is passionate about edtech and what the convergence of technology and education will look like for future learners. Driven by this interest, prior to joining ASU, Suzanne worked at Singularity University and was exposed to future technologies that are disrupting a multitude of industries. Additionally Suzanne has 9 years of experience in higher education across enrollment, academics and success coaching. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in international business from San Diego State University and an MBA in international business from Western International University. Suzanne also holds certificates in: Global Corporate Social Responsibility, Oil and Gas Management, HR Total Rewards, Supply Chain Management, and Exponential Thinking.

Thelma Molieri Oxman is a career coach on the career management team at W. P. Carey School of Business, emphasizing in Policy and Professional Services which includes undergraduate programs in Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Global Leadership, Language & Culture, Law, Global Politics, Public Service & Public Policy, Management, and the specialized masters programs MACC and MTAX. She is passionate about seeing others evolve into the amazing people they are destined to be, and higher education is the catalyst to that platform of growth and awareness. Thelma has 15 plus years of higher education experience and a background in business, event and retail management, including her time as a stylist and personal shopper in Beverly Hills, California.  Thelma has a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing. She holds two graduate certificates in event management and leadership.

Triné Nelson is the Director of Career Management at the W. P. Carey School of Business, with a specific focus on supporting the teams serving our undergraduate, specialized masters, and MBA students. In her time at W. P. Carey, Triné was instrumental in mapping out the undergraduate journey to implement a targeted series of career courses to increase the career capabilities of students as they prepare to enter the market. She believes that designing foundational career content will enhance students’ professional development and allow career coaches to execute a tailored program for their portfolios of students. Triné has almost 20 years’ experience in career services and was awarded the Certified Professional Resume Writer designation from the Professional Association of Resume Writers. Triné holds a Bachelor of Science in family and human development from Utah State University and an Master of Education in learning design and technologies from Arizona State University.
