Many small and medium-sized companies have more fluid recruiting processes, and are often still searching for summer interns into late spring. If you are still seeking an opportunity, keep looking and submitting applications.
Start your hunt on a job search engine like Handshake. Keep an open mind when searching and double-check to ensure the internship dates you apply for are for the summer. It is also a best practice to continue engaging with your network for possible opportunities. Ask your friends or family if they know of any opportunities. If you have a classmate who did an internship last summer, or who has already accepted an offer for this summer, see if you can get the firm’s contact information or ask for an introduction.
Keep an eye out for employer networking events and program-specific club events. Employers who are still looking will often post last-minute events to attract students.
