Job Description
Would you like to get hands-on work experience and solve real-life problems related to your field of study? We are offering a variety of opportunities for interns to support a number of supply chain projects at our Newark, DE; Elkton, MD; Phoenix, AZ; and Flagstaff, AZ facilities this summer.
As a Gore intern, you’ll own a project calling on the skills you’ve developed in your field of study; you’ll work to wrap up the project before your internship ends. You will be encouraged to network and build relationships across functions and plants as well as with other interns. We will provide you with some organized social and networking opportunities throughout the summer to help you build connections.
Intern projects span our various supply chain disciplines, including:
- Planning
- Procurement
- Logistics
- Manufacturing Systems support
- Sales Operations
You will have an opportunity to work with, and learn, business, divisional, and functional competencies, with emphasis on supply chain roles. You will interact extensively with manufacturing, engineering, and business and information systems teams to increase productivity and efficiency throughout the Enterprise. You will also be introduced to the core values and unique culture that Gore embodies while working in a team-oriented environment.
We expect our internship program for 2024 to include facility-based and hybrid opportunities, which will vary by project.
At Gore, we believe in you as an individual. We value your know-how and ideas. Our goal is to create a positive, respectful workplace in which everyone is treated fairly. If you are searching for a company where you can learn, contribute, and make a difference, we’re looking for you!
As a reminder, Gore’s intern program is intended to identify individuals for potential employment upon graduation and therefore requires that all candidates are authorized to work indefinitely without visa sponsorship within the U.S. after graduation. Gore does not provide sponsorship for visas to work in the U.S. for these roles. If you would require employer sponsorship to continue to work in the U.S. upon graduation, Gore would not be able to consider you for a position upon graduation, and therefore, we would ask that you withdraw from the interview process for a summer intern position.
An Optical Practical Training (OPT) is temporary employment that is directly related to an F-1 student’s major area of study and provides up to 12 months of OPT employment authorization for students before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies. OPT does not provide authorization to work indefinitely without visa sponsorship within the U.S. Candidates relying on OPT for permission to work in the U.S. for an intern role would not have authorization to work indefinitely without visa sponsorship within the U.S. upon graduation and therefore, we would ask that you withdraw from the interview process for a summer intern position.
