Oracle participates in a large number of industry and technology consortia, standards setting organizations, standards compliance programs, and open-source development projects. Our organization is responsible for maintaining an external posture consistent with our overall corporate strategy and to communicate our positions to corporate stakeholders. We work to facilitate these strategies and communications.
We are expanding our online presence in the education sector to inspire students to join and engage in our communities. You will provide input from your experience as a student, and you will help shape the communication strategies for our programs. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable giving presentations to various levels of audience. You also need to be able to quickly learn and adopt new tools and processes that we have in place to complete assigned projects.
You will also be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of our programs, including, but not limited to, creating webinar presentations and marketing materials, and providing online support to community members.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and seek assistance when necessary; be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Have experience with social media tools (X, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Have experience using internal communications/collaborations tools (Zoom, Slack, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
- Responsible and adaptable, and most importantly, excited about this opportunity and willing to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing social media accounts (X, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
- Perform market analysis of competitors and collaborators; research and increase user engagement in our programs.
- Support internal communications activities via various forms of communications tools.
- Assist with planning and execution of virtual and in-person marketing events and community activities.
- Take the ownership of assigned projects; provide status, report issues, and ensure that the projects are completed on time with quality.
- Create and edit short video clips to post on social media and homepage.
- Assist with web content updates and presentation creations.
- Provide support for online communities.
