Student Recruiting Events

W. P. Carey Career Services Center recruiting events provide an excellent opportunity to connect with recruiters from top companies looking for full-time and internship candidates. Network directly with company representatives to learn more about their organization and available positions.

How to participate

W. P. Carey career events are free to attend for all current W. P. Carey students. This spring, events will be held primarily in-person on the ASU Tempe campus, with a few being hosted virtual through Handshake’s virtual career platform.

Check each specific event page in Handshake for student registration details. For virtual recruiting events, you will need to sign up to attend specific company group and one-on-one sessions, in addition to registering for the overall event. All students attending W. P. Carey career events are expected to adhere the outlined professional dress expectations and the W. P. Carey Professionalism Standards.

How to prepare

Preparation is one of the most important steps in attending a career fair. Taking the time to research the companies attending, practice your personal narrative, and update your materials will make all the difference in showing up well to employers and solidifying opportunities.

Once you’ve identified a recruiting event that aligns with your career direction, sign-up for one of the W. P. Carey career programming events, hosted by the career coaching team, designed to provide you with the tools you need to be successful.

Have quick questions as you prepare? Attend a drop-in hour hosted every Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. in BA 109. Career Coaches will be available to assist on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon arrival at BA 109, please check in at the front desk.
