Student Recruiting Events

W. P. Carey Career Services Center recruiting events provide an excellent opportunity to connect with recruiters from top companies looking for full-time and internship candidates. Network directly with company representatives to learn more about their organization and available positions.

How to participate

Recruiting events will be conducted in-person or virtually through Handshake’s virtual career platform. Business career events are free for W. P. Carey students to attend. The dress code for all employer events is business professional.

Student registration for W. P. Carey spring recruiting events opens September 1, 2022. For virtual recruiting events, you will need to sign up to attend specific company group and one-on-one sessions in addition to registering for the overall event. To participate in recruiting events, follow these steps:

  1. Upload your resume, in the W. P. Carey format, to Handshake. Set the visibility to “Public” so employers have access to review prior to the event.
  2. Research recruiting events and explore the organizations that are registered to attend. Follow any target organizations to receive notification on postings and events.
  3. Register for events that align with your career goals.
  4. If attending an in-person recruiting event, bring printed copies of your resume to share with employers.
  5. If attending a virtual recruiting event, Select group and/or individual company sessions to attend to complete your event registration.
