Fall recruiting season is almost here. During Fall career events, especially Meet the Firms, you will have the opportunity to talk to recruiters from the Big 4 who are searching for new talent.
So, what is the Big 4? The “Big 4” is the nickname used to refer to the four largest accounting firms in the United States, measured by revenue. They are Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG). These four firms audit the financial statements for the vast majority of companies in the S&P 500.
In addition to their auditing services, they also provide consulting, valuation, market research, assurance, and legal advisory services.
If after researching these firms you determine they would be a good fit for you, you’ll need to position yourself as top talent for these highly competitive firms. This is your time to shine and invest in your future, so make sure you are fully prepared and ready for this process as soon as the school year begins, if not before. Make an appointment with your Career Coach ASAP to map out your strategy.
